Doug Kingsley/Ben Greenfield took victory on the Pheasant Plucker Rally by the narrowest of margins, winning on a ‘furthest clean’ tie breaker.
The Guildford MC event used a 180 mile route which took in parts of Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex.
Kingsley/Greenfield finished with the same penalties as Phil Kendall/David Coles, but a time two minutes quicker through the opening section, which took in the infamous Barnetside, secured their win, the first of their career.
These two crews were well clear of the rest of the field, which was headed by Simon Bush/John Upham.
Rob Reynolds/John Stringer went out after picking up two punctures on their Impreza, while Phil Collings/Ian Collings had a short event, going off in Barnetside.
The novice class had easier navigation and so were not eligible for overall awards. Colin Sutton/Chris Freeman would have won the category but a missed board dropped them into second behind David Glanville/James Bueno.
