Winners: Nigel Roberts/Dale Furniss (Peugeot 205)
Nigel Roberts/Dale Furniss took a clear win on Telford AC's Novice Rally. The rally was only open to Novice and Beginner crews, but still attracted 47 entries.
The winners cleaned the first half of the 96 mile rally, then picked up a five second penalty for an early arrival at one control and were twenty five seconds late at the tie decider section, this gave them the win by over a minute.
Roger Titley, competing on his first road rally for twenty-four years, and navigated by Steve Bishop, finished second. Simon Ridge/Chris Ridge were just a second behind in third and were left ruing a minute lost with a wrong slot.
Roger Fildes/Sam Wilson finished in eighth place and were the highest placed Beginners crew.
Thirty-eight crews made it back to the Finish. Kevin Price/Jane Price weren't amongst, they had hit a bank and then got stuck in the first half.
