The Border 100 turned into a titanic battle between three local drivers, with Glyn Price triumphing from Ian 'Dude' Roberts in second and Mark 'GT' Roberts in third. While the drivers were on home territory none of their navigators were, Price had Peter Collins on the map as his regular partner was doing duty as Clerk of the Course, the new partnership provided the perfect result.
Map men Eurig Davies and Dylan Jenkins took the runner up and third place spots respectively alongside the two Roberts cousins.
These three crews were only seconds apart throughout the night but ended eight minutes ahead of the field at the Finish.
The challenge from top seeds Phil Turner/Owen Dodd didn’t last long as they went out with a failed engine soon after the start.
Baz Green/Rob Jones led that battle behind the three leaders until the last section when a broken distributor caused them to drop time.
