Route: 100 Miles

Starters: 75
Winners: Gary Davies/Dale Furniss (Ford Escort)
Gary Davies became the first non-local driver in seven years to win a Welsh Border CC road rally, when he and navigator Dale Furniss dominated the Border 100.
Davies/Furniss were fastest to the first TC and then pulled away to win by over three minutes, leaving their rivals to battle for the minor positions.
Dafydd Evans/Carl Jones demonstrated their familiarity with the route by following up their Night Owl win with second place. Kevin Davies/Dorian Evans could have taken the runner up spot but managed to book in early at one TC.
Ian ‘Dude’ Roberts/Wyn Roberts lay second at petrol but a broken driveshaft put them out of the rally soon afterwards. Mark ‘GT’ Roberts/Steve Price took over second but a puncture cost them four minutes and dropped them to sixth.
Simon Naughton/Gareth Thomas and Reian Jones/Michael Gilbey finished on the same penalty, with the former crew taking the Expert class win as they were the faster of the two at the first TC.
Richard Jerman/Aled Richards held second initially but went out with electrical problems at Petrol.
