Ian Mason/Lewis Mason moved up from third place at the halfway point to win the Roamerlite Novice Rally on Saturday night. The father and son team finished the event almost a minute and a half ahead of Martin Williams/Darren Ikin. Sam Peters/Oliver Jackson were in 13th place after the first of the night’s two time cards, however they were the fastest crew in the second half and secured third place at the Finish.
Andy Warburton/Alan Gough were the early leaders but picked up fails for booking in early. Daniel Williams/John Tomley held second at the halfway point but retired with a failed alternator.
The youngest placed finisher award went to 13 year old Robbie Pugh.
