Jamie Jukes followed up his recent stage rally successes by taking his maiden road rally win on the Autumn Rally. He and navigator Dale Bowen left until the final section of the night to hit the front and came home 29 seconds ahead of Malcolm Jones/Rhys Jones.
Jones/Jones had led at the Petrol halt having being the only crew to clean the preceding section, which was over their local territory. They held on to the lead until passed by the winners at the final control.
Tony Davies was competing on his first road rally for four years; he, along with Dylan Jenkins, finished in third place.
A noteworthy performance came from Huw Evans/Darren Jones, who not only won the Novice Class but only lost out on a top ten position on a tie break.
There was a high attrition rate with only a half of the full 75 car entry making the finish. A number of crews, including top seeds John Davies/Eurig Davies, fell foul of a stringent implementation of rules regarding the recording of code boards in their correct place on the time card and picked up numerous fails.
