Route: 110 Miles

Starters: 47
Winners: Dale Furniss/Steve Herbert (VW Golf GTi)
Dale Furniss took his first rally win as a driver when he and Steve Herbert emerged from a tight battle to win the Rali Bro Ddyfi. The pair were tied for the lead with Mark ‘GT’ Roberts/Euros Hughes at Petrol. The latter crew picked up a puncture on the final section but, even without that handicap, they were unlikely to have held Furniss/Herbert back from the win.
Dafydd Evans/Eifion Pughe would have won by six seconds but picked up a failed after missing to get a signature for a code board.
None of the top three starters made the Finish; Richard Jerman/Lowri Davies ended their rally in a gully; Kevin Kerr/Max Freeman ran out of spare tyres after a series of punctures and Rob Pugh/Phil Pugh had a engine mounting break on their Ibiza. Andrew Edwards had a comfortable lead in the Semi-Expert Class at Petrol but retired with a fuel pump failure soon after the restart.
