Richard Jerman/Lowri Davies took a dominant win on the Eagle Road Rally. They led from the outset, setting a pace than none of the other crews could match. Two minutes ahead at Petrol, they extended this to over three at the Finish, leaving the rest of the field to fight for second place.
Lewis Morgan/Dilwyn John had moved into second place just after the halfway halt when they were forced out when the coil pack on their 205 failed. This meant that Ian ‘Dude’ Roberts/Gwawr Hughes, who struggled with overheating problems towards the end, to take second. This was a critical result as most of their other Welsh Championship rivals struggled.
Andy Davies/Lee Taylor finished in third, a minute down on Roberts/Hughes, but three minutes ahead of the field. Mark GT Roberts/Dylan Jenkins withdrew after picking up a fail at an early control.
